Execview signs new contract with Mecom Group plc (“Mecom”)

Mecom deploys Execview’s Enterprise Platform for strategic outsourcing management

21 November 2011 – London, UK - Execview, providers of the ground-breaking Enterprise Platform for delivering and managing business transformation, operational excellence and strategic outcomes, has signed a contract with Mecom, the major multi-platform European media organisation. Mecom will initially use Execview’s platform to support and manage a strategic management outsourcing project with India’s global technology and IT enterprise company HCL. The new contract adds to Execview’s portfolio of broadcast (media and publishing) customers, which includes the BBC, ITV and others.

Mecom publish hundreds of paid-for daily titles and free-sheet papers, operating over 200 digital channels and occupying a leading position in the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark and Poland. The Execview platform is playing a key part in Mecom’s outsourcing of its IT support needs to HCL, giving Mecom a programme management tool for its strategic goals, mapping of high level dependencies, stakeholder management, prioritisation and executive reporting. Global reinsurance organisation pilots Execview

Execview is pleased to announce a new pilot of its PPM Platform with a global offshore reinsurance organisation to provide worldwide PMO processes and portfolio and programme governance reporting.

Major public organisation win

Execview, in conjunction with its partner MSS, wins a contract with a major UK based public organisation to pilot the its governance solution for corporate board reporting.

Mark Wells appointed chairman

Execview is pleased to announce that Mark Wells has been appointed chairman. Mark is a successful software and services business executive. He has built and sold two successful software businesses, one at a valuation of $160m. Prior to this he held senior positions in several large software corporations. Mark was VP of continental Europe and managing director of the UK for Dun and Bradstreet Software, sales and marketing director for Software AG, and sales and marketing director for Ingres Inc. He has lived and worked in the USA, Asia, continental Europe and the UK. He has for the last five years moved into non-executive roles in software companies. He is currently a non-executive director for three UK listed business and is non-executive chairman of one private company. Mark has a BSc in Electronic Engineering from Bath University and an MBA from Cranfield University.

What is performance management?

To some people, performance management means collecting performance information. To others it implies a personal appraisal. The Performance Management, Measurement and Information project (PMMI) definition incorporates a range of different tools and activities used to drive improvement. We define performance management as: “Taking action in response to actual performances to make outcomes for users and the public better than they would otherwise be“.

Action may be at individual, team, service, corporate or community level. Improvement to outcomes should benefit service users but does not always mean increased service levels – sometimes better outcomes can mean delivering better value for money. Reducing levels of service in one area may free up resources to be used more effectively elsewhere.

Performance management will look different in different places, but effective organisations share some common characteristics. These are:

• real-time, regular and robust performance data
• can-do culture inspired by strong leadership
• agreed lines of individual accountability
• clear performance management review, combining challenge and support
• transparent set of performance rewards and sanctions

Effective performance management requires:

• systematically deciding and communicating what needs to be done (aims, objectives, priorities and targets)
• a plan for ensuring that it happens (improvement, action or service plans)
• some means of assessing if this has been achieved (performance measures)

Execview capacity increase in preparation for 2011 growth

Execview increased the capacity of its cloud infrastructure in preparation for the growth expected in 2011. With some of the new clients who came on board recently and the fact they intend to rollout internationally, we have prepared the infrastructure for an increase in the number of user connecting to the application from around the globe. The upgrade was completed successfully over the week end, and no unplanned outage occurred.

Execview is software delivered as a service (SaaS) from a secure cloud in the UK. Unlike other suppliers or system integrators, Execview does not require any capital outlay or infrastructure. It can be setup and operational within a couple of weeks.

Managing the glint in your eye

Glints were today launched in Execview. Now, “what is a glint” you may ask? Glints are projects before they ever get approval to be projects. They are the ideas you have, or the “glints” in your eye. They are initiatives you propose to move from a glint to a fully implemented project.

Partner MSS engage a major worldwide outsourcer

Through our partner Managed Service Solutions (MSS), a major worldwide outsourcer has selected Execview for the governance of its European service delivery operations outsourced from a worldwide FMCG group.

MSS have been working with the client for some time and have provided support to convert a large and complicated legal contract service delivery framework into a full relationship management solution built on Execview. Execview is supporting SLA performance management, project and programme management, service improvement projects, risk issue and action management, contract and change management and executive performance reporting to key governance points defined within the contract.

MSS is a UK based performance and governance advisory group with a focus on managed services, shared services, and the outsourcing sector.

Partner Methods Consulting use Execview to manage key technology replacement project at the Scottish government

Through our partner Methods Consulting, we are pleased to announce that Execview has been selected to provide board level reporting on a key technology replacement project for the Scottish government. Methods Consulting are particularly pleased to make use of the cloud delivered service to provide access to both the end client and their delivery partner. Critically, the benefits of this have been board reporting, action management, and executive accountability. All this is now driven through Execview.

Major county council IS reporting contract

In partnership with Methods Consulting Ltd, we are pleased to announce the signing of a long-term contract with a major county council following a successful six month pilot of Management Information scorecards. The contract builds on this success by providing a much larger number of scorecards tracking performance of IS activities and service delivery. Via a previously established partnership, we and Methods Consulting are working closely together to implement Execview for the Council, delivering a comprehensive suite of scorecards addressing over 200 specific Council requirements in September 2010.

Old Mutual implement Execview stakeholder management in international compliance programme

Execview has recently been enhanced to provide comprehensive stakeholder mapping and communications plan tracking. In response to the needs of one of our largest customers, our portfolio tracking functionality now provides stakeholder mapping based on techniques promoted by Imperial College, London and the UK Office of Government Commerce (OGC). This involves scoring each stakeholder for both influence and interest, and mapping the result by activity. Communication managers can oversee plans for stakeholder interaction, and have project managers track and score these over time. A stakeholder map can be displayed to show both category and current status against activity, with drill-down to detailed historical interactions between project teams and their stakeholder groups.

Media client management of third party change requests

Many organisations recognise the need to control change requests between themselves and their suppliers. They search for a solution to enable collaborative workflow across corporate boundaries. Unfortunately, what they often find are overly-complex asset and configuration management software suites which only work within their corporate networks. Recently Execview has added a further customer to its growing portfolio of clients utilising the change requests management module. The client concerned is now managing a turnover of approximately 50 change requests per month, with customised data entry screens and new reports. This has brought control to the business area concerned, and is enabling the client and supplier to work more effectively in partnership.
